Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Capital Markets Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager is instrumental in driving the growth of the business by identifying and securing new opportunities. This position involves strategic planning, market analysis, and building relationships with potential clients. The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in expanding the customer base and contributing to the overall success of the sales function.
The Business Development Manager is a key role responsible for identifying, creating, and nurturing business opportunities to drive revenue growth. A Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the domain of Capital Markets Infrastructures (CSD, CCP or Stock Exchange), this role assists in developing and implementing global domain sales strategy. They represent the organization at industry events through networking, new business engagement, and marketing activities (panel discussions, webinars, roundtables, etc.).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Business Development, Business Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or comparable record of business development management experience required.
- Strong experience working with Capital Markets Infrastructures (CSD, CCP or Stock Exchange).
- Proven record of success with the entire sales cycle, from planning to closing; successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation.
- Experience in sales techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Superb presentation skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Proven ability to plan and manage resources.
- Ability to travel at least 40% of the time.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Fluent in English.
