Job Responsibilities:Review level of current inventory, forecast order quantities based on stock level and sales information, execute replenishment for outlets and online sales.
Conduct regular store visits to ensure that store's merchandising standards are met.
Check and follow-up on replenishment request by stores.
Analyze market information to identify product trends/price trends/opportunities in order to develop competitive products/price to customer.
Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions regularly that protect the best interest of the company and its customers.
Determine the best vendors and best deals through comparison of price, quality, availability, reliability, other contract terms, distribution cost, and service.
Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Communicate company's expectations to the suppliers and perform business reviews with the key supplier to work on strategies & action plans by meeting supplier and negotiating terms of contract such as consignment.
Manage inventory to ensure up-to-date product lifespan monitoring. Review stock movement with batch & expiry regularly. Ensure minimal level of slow moving, end-of-life products and obsolescence by working closely with sales and operation on the strategy to clear the items.
Source new and review existing merchandise to ensure product remains relevant, competitive and secure lowest cost of supply.
Maintain and update all products, suppliers and procurement data in the company online system and to do proper filing for all related documentation.
Assess stability of product & able to make decision to delete products which are not delivering sales to make room for new product.
Track and control procurement, marketing budget & expenses.
Able to plan and ensure the smooth implementation of all marketing, advertising, sponsorships and promotional programs in order to maximize sale and GP.
Assist stores in coordinating and executing marketing strategies to achieve sales target.
Follow up duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the direct superior and/or management.
Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least an Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of work experience as Buyer in retailing, merchandising or similar job function.
Committed, team player, proactive, able to meet tight deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
Required language: Bahasa Malaysia, English.
