Job Title: Commodity ManagerWork Location: PenangFortune 500 Company in Electronics.Job Summary
Develop, implement and measure a global commodity strategy for indirect purchase (mainly service commodity) that fully meets the supply chain needs of our business units.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop, lead and execute commodity sourcing strategy for local, regional and global initiatives for service commodity in factory production environment.Analyze market conditions for assigned commodities and implement supply chain strategies to assure supply and price competitiveness.Develop commodity plan to provide visibility to subcategory spends, supplier summaries and stakeholder engagement plans.Develop the supply base to exceed the goals and objectives of the company and the supply chain management team, e.g. supplier development and assessment.Negotiate supplier Price/Contracts, conduct and follow online bidding process.Be a central interface between supplier, administration, production, finance, SQE, legal and buyers etc.Be a leader in ensuring that Our Company maximizes our purchase leverage for the best total cost of ownership.Aggressively negotiate absolute best pricing, terms and conditions.Develop a cost modeling tool to determine true component value of assigned commodity(s).Develop and implement supplier relationship management program.Develop effective relationships with Business Unit Management to ensure that Supply Chain Management is fully involved with new business opportunities.Adhere to Global Commodity infrastructure that supports Our Company's business and growth plans.Ensure the commodity supply base adheres to Our Company standards of Corporate Social Responsibilities including but not limited to Environmental, Ethical, Legislative, and Regulatory requirements.Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.Offer new, innovative, entrepreneurial ideas, practices and processes that drive continuous improvement to Our Company's supply chain goals and objectives.Ensure the efficient and timely exchange of knowledge and information within the Our Company Corporation to ensure best practices are shared throughout the Our Company organization.Education & Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management or other relevant discipline preferred.Minimum of 5 years' strategic sourcing experience for civil engineering/electro-mechanical categories or indirect categories in a high volume electronics manufacturing environment or similar.Strong communication skills and negotiation skills.Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.Able and willing to travel across China and/or internationally if required.Languages: Mandarin and Good English skills, both in verbal and written.Computer literate and have good working experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.#J-18808-Ljbffr
