Compensation & Benefits and Payroll SpecialistThe World's Largest Sports Retailer is recruiting passionate sports people to join our team as our Compensation & Benefits and Payroll Specialist.
Responsibilities:
Compensation and Benefits
Participate in the development of the company's remuneration policy and implementation
Propose remuneration and/or benefits strategies in line with the company's overall remuneration policy
Deploy these strategies across all scopes in conjunction with all stakeholders involved
Ensure their adequacy with the company's objectives and market trends
Conduct benchmarking studies to ensure competitiveness
Data reporting on remuneration/benefits strategies
Manage variable compensation
Design and manage the annual compensation review
Ensure pay equity
Ensure compliance with local legislation and optimize costs for the company
Provide a compensation index corresponding to the job mapping
Define monitoring tables & indicators
Analyze data and make them available to HR managers and all managers
Develop and manage benefit programs that meet the needs of teammates (health, welfare, retirement)
Develop and manage benefit programs and benefits in kind (car, meal vouchers, transportation allowance, housing assistance, etc.)
Ensure that benefits comply with local legislation and optimize costs for the company
Ensure the implementation of the remuneration policy
Support HR managers in implementing the compensation policy and managing salary reviews
Support managers in implementing the compensation policy
Communicate the elements of the compensation policy to managers and employees in a clear and transparent manner
Provide training tools and materials
Payroll
Perform daily payroll department operations
Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
Execute system and attendance processing and interface with payroll
Keep employees applying up-to-date for benefits eligibility, insurance coverage, exemptions, staff movement, savings deductions, etc.
File all information on employee files received from HR
Provide payroll information and organize training for employees
What are we looking for:
Sportive
Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken) are essential
BSc/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting or related field
Proficiency in payroll software (SAP Success Factors) or equivalent
Minimum 3 years proven working experience in the role
Knowledge of payroll processes and relevant local regulation (EPF, Income Tax, Socso, etc.)
Familiarity with MS Office (especially Excel)
Ability to work according to strict deadlines, manage various demands, demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
A proactive and effective team player, self-starter, and self-motivated for leading and executing tasks
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
