Job Description - Corporate Advisory (240001QQ)
Job Responsibilities:
Support the origination and execution of corporate finance advisory mandates, which include formulating and undertaking business development and coordinating inter-departmental liaisons to identify opportunities through business relationships with existing and new clientele.
Strong origination skills and good corporate finance experience are essential.
The candidate will be expected to work independently with business partners, particularly in deal origination.
Structure and execute complex corporate finance transactions, with knowledge of Malaysian regulatory and execution processes, including relevant guidelines such as SC Equity Guidelines, CMSA, Bursa Securities Listing Requirements, and SC Rules on Take-Overs, Mergers, and Compulsory Acquisitions.
Focus areas include local and cross-border M&A, privatization exercises, Malaysian and cross-border IPO exercises in Singapore and Hong Kong, and equity fundraising exercises.
Job Requirements:
Must have a Capital Market Services Representatives Licence issued by the Securities Commission, Malaysia.
Possess a good university degree or Masters, preferably in accounting, finance, or business.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate finance/investment banking or relevant corporate experience.
Proven experience in originating deals that have been successfully executed, whether for private or public entities.
Familiarity with various valuation methodologies, including DCF.
Able to undertake company financial analysis with guidance from seniors, including analysis of financial performance and health.
Ability to manage corporate finance deals independently with some guidance from seniors.
Efficient work under pressure and extended hours when required.
Good networking base and strong interpersonal/presentation skills.
Passionate about deal-making and driven to excel.
Team player with the ability to maintain good working relationships with people at all levels.
