As a Dealer Principal, you will be responsible for the overall performance and profitability of your dealership or designated geographical area . This role demands a strategic and results-driven leader with high business acumen qualities, self initiated, resourceful, a strong problem solver who can inspire a team, drive sales growth while maintaining high standards of customer service and build a winning team. You will act as a business owner, overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that the dealership meets its financial and operational goals.Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales, service, and administrative staff to achieve dealership objectives.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the dealership's performance in line with CARSOME's overall business goals.
Foster a positive and productive work environment that aligns with CARSOME's values and culture
Oversee the dealership's profit and loss (P&L) statements, ensuring profitability and financial health.
Implement effective cost-control measures and drive efficiency across all departments.
Develop and execute business plans to meet or exceed sales targets and other key performance indicators (KPIs).Sales and Customer Experience:
Drive sales growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies.
Ensure a superior customer experience by maintaining high standards of service and support.
Analyze market trends and customer feedback to continuously improve sales and service offerings.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure the dealership operates smoothly and efficiently, adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
Oversee inventory management, optimise processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
People Development:
Identify training needs and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for staff.
Implement incentive schemes that motivate and reward high performance.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Account/Dealership Management:
Manage key dealership accounts, ensuring strong relationships with partners/clients.
Identify opportunities for account growth by understanding clients' evolving needs. Develop and implement strategies to retain clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and maximizing revenue potential.
Data-Driven Inventory Decisions:
Uses data analytics to track demand trends and optimise acquisition strategy. Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and historical data to determine which vehicles to acquire and at what price points. Retail's inventory is tailored to reflect local customer preferences, ensuring that the most popular makes and models are readily available.
Able to come up with our own marketing strategy that reflects local. The Dealer Principal may use local advertising, social media, and promotions tailored to their customer base.
Requirements:Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the automotive or retail industry.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets, leading effective teams and driving business growth.
Strong financial acumen with experience in managing P&L statements
