Demi Chef/Commis 1

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To prepare the food preparations, productions and presentations according to the approved standards recipe in ensuring optimum quality and maximize the raw materials usage.
2. To ensure safety instructions for the use of Kitchen equipment to avoid any mishap or injury.
3. To ensure effective coordination between kitchen unit and stewarding to ensure the entire operations runs smoothly.
4. To ensure compliance with HACCP and Halal requirement in all kitchen preparations, productions and presentations.
5. To anticipate on culinary trends, techniques and challenge the status quo.
6. To prepare raw materials and ingredients including mise-en-place for kitchen daily operations to run smoothly. 
7. To prepare orders according to established standards in ensuring optimum quality and maximize the raw materials usage.
8. To ensure food portioning and preparation are according to approved standard recipe.
9. To keep all food items correctly stored to avoid food contamination and ensuring food safety.
10. To prepare requisite food from the storage accordingly to ensure optimum food preparation.
11. To follow safety instructions for the use of Kitchen equipment to avoid any mishap or injury. 
12. To perform basic cleaning duties and ensuring workstations are properly sanitized in accordance to HACCP and Halal compliance.
13. To collaborate with all kitchen section and stewarding in ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
