Demi Chef

Job Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items, ensuring they meet the establishment's standards.
Follow recipes and presentation guidelines set by the Chef de Partie and Head Chef and prepare ingredients, sauces, and garnishes as required.
Ensure all mise en place is prepared and ready for service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage of food items.
Monitor the quality and consistency of dishes before they leave the kitchen.
Address any issues with food quality or presentation promptly.
Support and assist the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service and provide guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff and apprentices as needed.
Help manage and control inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
Ensure proper rotation and use of ingredients to minimize waste.
Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills.
Stay updated on current food trends and techniques.
Perform any ad hoc assignments as and when required by the Management.
Minimum Requirements:Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role within a professional kitchen.
Culinary Diploma or relevant qualification is preferred.
Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or other dialects), Bahasa Melayu, and English.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
