BCM Activities:
Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA), maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), test recovery strategies, and support incident management.
Serve as a secretary/advisor to Incident Management Teams and liaise with key stakeholders.
Provide expert guidance on BCM tools and strategies while ensuring risk identification and mitigation.OpsRes Activities:
Maintain resilience frameworks like Service Categorization, Dependency Mapping, and Scenario Testing.
Partner with business units to manage critical services, define impact tolerances, and deliver resilience roadmaps.
Develop testing schedules and ensure risks are addressed with proper plans.General Responsibilities:
Align BCM/OpRes programs with business needs and regulatory requirements.
Provide training, manage audits, and develop compliance reports.
Travel (~25%) to ensure program implementation and updates.Profile
Experience:
10+ years in BCM with incident management experience (15 years in banking/operations preferred).
Strong familiarity with banking, IT disaster recovery, and operational risk management.
Certifications:BCM certification (BCI, DRII) and audit/IT risk qualifications (CPA, CIA, CISA) are preferred.
Technical Knowledge:Deep understanding of BCM/OpRes standards (e.g., ISO), IT practices, operational infrastructure, and risk control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL).
Soft Skills:Strong leadership, communication, relationship management, and crisis management abilities.
Preferred Background:
Knowledge of trading systems, electronic trading infrastructure, IT disaster recovery sites, and work area recovery sites.
Strong relationships within the BCM industry and financial sector peers.
