Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to oversee our distribution operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and a proven track record in managing large teams within warehouse environments. The Distribution Manager will be responsible for inbound and outbound activities, inventory management, compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining strong customer service relationships.
Key Responsibilities: Inbound and Outbound Management: Oversee all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely and efficient product distribution. Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to optimize stock availability while minimizing excess. Implement strategies for accurate forecasting and inventory turnover. Safety and Quality Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and ISO 9001 requirements. Customer Service Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Team Leadership: Manage and lead a diverse team of 60 staff members, including training, performance management, and professional development. Labor Supplier Management: Collaborate with labor suppliers to ensure adequate staffing levels and manage performance expectations. Lean Operations: Implement lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste within the distribution process. Operational Strategy Development: Develop and execute operational strategies to improve distribution processes and achieve organizational goals. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in lean manufacturing or operations. Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in a warehouse setting.
