Job Summary:The Engineer, Project is responsible for overseeing and managing interconnect projects and initiatives within an organization.
The Engineer, Project will collaborate with the cross functional team to ensure projects are executed successfully and meet project objectives.Duties & Responsibilities:Project planning and coordination Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for the projects.
Coordinate resources, tasks, and activities to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
Team collaboration and leadership Collaborate with cross functional teams including engineers, planner, production, buyer to ensure effective communication, coordination, and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project team members.
Product requirements Work closely with engineering teams on the project and product requirements.
Collaborate with engineering on the project or product qualification.
Supply Chain management.
Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to meet project timelines.
Testing and Quality Assurance Collaborate with Quality Assurance team to define the testing and quality assurance to ensure they meet the required performance, functionality, and quality standards.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation Identify potential risks during projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.
This may include conducting risk assessments, implementing contingency plans and addressing potential challenges to the project.
Project monitoring and reporting Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables.
Generate regular reports and updates management, highlighting the project status, milestones achieved, and potential issues or risks.
Continuous Improvement Actively seek opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
Identify areas for improvement and optimization, and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Minimum Qualifications: Experience in project management.
Experience in new product introduction of electro-mechanical products.
Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
Excellent computer skills - CAD, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively interface within a cross-functional team environment.
Experienced in modern manufacturing principles and techniques.
Will be required to travel both domestically and internationally, on a periodic basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and experience in GDP and GMP requirements and preferably ISO 13485 requirements Experience in project planning and familiarity with Microsoft Project.
Education:Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or a related scientific field is required.
Physical requirements/Work Environment This position primarily works in an office environment but will spend a fair amount of time in a production environment.
Must be able to travel on a periodic basis both domestically and internationally (including Mexico).
The ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.
May stand or sit for extended periods and require being able to lift/carry up to 50 Lbs.
