This is one-year fixed-termEnvironmental related tasksAssist HSE Officer in ensuring compliance with environmental requirements at the construction site;Arrange and conduct environmental inspections with subcontractors and vendors on site;Participate in HSE patrols, audits, and inspections, providing guidance to staff and vendors to meet HSE standards;Generate periodic environmental reports for the project management as needed;Address quality-related non-conformance reports and take corrective action as required;Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in line with HSE regulations;Identify and assess potential environmental risks in construction projects, and develop strategies to mitigate them;To perform any other environmental related tasks as assigned by immediate superior.Health & Safety related tasksInspect the workplace to identify if any machinery, equipment, substances, or manual labor poses a risk of injury to workers;Assist the HSE Officer in implementing the occupational safety and health program at the workplace;Assist the HSE Officer investigate any incidents, accidents, near-misses, dangerous occurrences, or occupational health issues at the workplace, recommend safety measures to prevent future incidents, and ensure timely submission of accident reports;Support the HSE Officer in inspecting the workplace to ensure compliance with OSHA and related regulations;Assist the HSE Officer in submitting a monthly report to the project leader on activities and HSE performance at the workplace;Ensure personal protective equipment is issued to workers at the workplace and monitor subcontractors to ensure they provide the necessary equipment to their workers.Requirements 3 years of relevant working experience in environmental management in construction project preferably in buildings.Knowledge of environmental requirements/parameters, project contract environmental specifications.Familiarity and understanding of construction work sequence and various types of construction processes.Sound knowledge in ISO for quality/safety/environmental and OSHA matters.Working conditions Official working hours are from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Applicant must be willing to commit to working beyond regular hours, including weekends and public holidays.Education Degree in Environmental Science.Working Location: Kulim, Kedah
