Responsibilities:Perform collection calls to remind customers for their loan payment and follow up on outstanding accounts.
Follow up on the list of customers assigned and update commentaries on collection activities on the Aging report.
Meet the assigned monthly target and achieve the overdue account ratio.
Identify incoming payments and unknown amounts.
Perform recovery actions such as repossession and legal action.
Liaise and negotiate with customers on settlement of accounts and propose for reschedule of payment as required.
Prepare memos for approval for arrears accounts requesting payment arrangements before legal action commences.
Attend and respond regarding the audit confirmation.
Liaise with appointed repossessors regarding goods repossession, repo fees, and payment requests.
Repossession Role:Manage post-repossession matters ensuring actions comply with the Hire Purchase Act.
Conduct site inspections of repossession assets as necessary.
Arrange payments for storage charges, legal fees, tender deposits, or other charges.
Prepare memos and submit to the tender committee for approval on tender cases.
Prepare documentation on successful auction/tender cases for the transfer of ownership.
Obtain management approval for fixing reserve prices for auction purposes.
Prepare and forward legal instructions to panel solicitors for litigation proceedings and follow up on legal status.
Liaise with customers/Loan Monitoring Officers (LMO) regarding redemption.
Liaise with repossessors and key contacts at warehouses and auction houses regarding repossession assets.
Requirements:Diploma/Degree holder in Business Administration or equivalent.
At least 1 year of relevant working experience in the Hire Purchase industry.
Previous experience in collections or customer service is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work with a team and independently.
Self-starter, attentive, and able to multitask.
