Purpose of the position:The position is to build and deliver an integrated accounting capability and provide effective business support to the operations and management in Malaysia. Support and execute financial processes with quality and accuracy that comply with group policy, improve business productivity and operations, and provide sound analysis to improve profitability. Work closely with the Malaysia operation team to ensure daily operations are moving smoothly.Principal responsibilities:
Monthly finance closing of plant P&L and Balance Sheet involving invoice issuing and within deadline.
Responsible for Financial Budgeting and Planning - Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis of actual results versus budget targets and prior year during closing.
Understanding the business development of business projects, ensuring the submission of accurate and timely financial forecasts, providing all-round support for business operations.
Support in the ERP system implementation and continual overseeing and provide improvement in the system function.
Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are executed for the plant.
Participating in plant budgeting and supporting factory operations to help the company achieve budget goals.
Establishing and maintaining effective internal control measures to ensure the compliance of financial activities and risk control to meet internal and external audit requirements.
Cost improvement and optimization to meet company budget.
Support on ad hoc tasks from line or business/operation team, etc.
Key Requirements:
Knowledge & Background
Bachelor's degree or above,major in Finance/Accounting .
CPA, ACCA, CIMA qualificationisstronglypreferred.
Familiar with local GAAP and tax rules, especially those in Malaysia.
Experience
More than 8 years of working experience in the Finance/Accounting area in middle-sized or large-sized multinational organizations.
Experience in the manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
Skills & Certificates
Strong learning skills, analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking skills, excellent skills in Microsoft Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint.
Professional judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently.
Proficient in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
Good communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and a good team player.
