Job Description
Manage and support tax compliance and advisory for the business, in aspects of corporate income tax, indirect tax (e.g.
Goods and Services Tax; Value Added Tax; Sales and Services Tax; withholding tax, etc) and transfer pricing.
Support the regional tax team in identifying, managing tax planning opportunities and mitigate tax risks including thorough documentation of tax positions taken, contract reviews etc.
Independently analyze and resolve tax and transfer pricing structuring matters after consulting business stakeholders, internal and external professional advisors.
Assist in preparing and filing of internal and external tax returns and reports for SEA entities, including current and deferred tax provisions, transfer pricing documentation and tax audits with local tax authorities.
Ensure tax returns and reports are complete, accurate and compliant with local legislation.
Monitor tax regulatory changes and advise on impact on the Company's tax and transfer pricing policies and practices.
Build and maintain relationships with internal tax departments, external tax advisors as well as tax authorities.
Continuously improve company financial systems, processes and productivity, supporting tax compliance project initiatives, contributing significantly to the change and improvement.
Job Requirements
Strong international tax knowledge and a professional accounting qualification (CPA preferred) and willing to be very hands-on.
Bachelor degree and/or professional qualification in Taxation, Accounting, or related fields.
4 - 8 years tax experience in public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred) and/or MNC handling international CIT, indirect tax and withholding tax compliance.
Deep familiarity with transfer pricing / corporate income tax, VAT/GST regimes, domestic and international withholding tax, tax compliance requirements, and tax audits.
Strong analytical skills with solid knowledge and experiences on taxation.
Transfer pricing experience would be an added advantage.
Requirements/Qualifications (good to have):
A self-starter, who is detail-oriented, resourceful, able to work independently, multi-task and efficiently manage multiple tight deadlines.
Excellent business focus and able to propose solutions to tax issues after consulting with internal business stakeholders and external and internal tax, legal and financial advisors.
Good communication skills who can establish close collaboration with internal stakeholders and manage external advisors.
Ability to read and write Chinese will be an advantage.
Pro-active, hands-on, enthusiastic and not afraid to ask questions and challenge the status quo.
Experience with E-commerce and tax compliance matters for SEA region would be an advantage, but not a requirement.#J-18808-Ljbffr
