As the Finance Custodian to the General Manager overseeing and taking responsibility for Business Finance Management. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with the Central HUB, CCC, Group Finance & Treasury, and Group Tax to ensure that financial information meets high standards of quality and integrity. This information is crucial for implementing the Business Plan and achieving Financial Goals effectively. The role plays a pivotal part in financial decision-making and supports various aspects of financial operations to drive business success.Responsibilities1. Planning & Management Accounting:
- Planning & Analysis: Assist in setting financial goals, implement business plans, conduct financial analysis, and recommend improvements.
- Budgeting & Forecast: Manage budgeting processes, ensure accuracy and adherence to financial objectives, and participate in budget meetings.
- Business Finance Matters: Support financial decisions, analyze profitability, and collaborate on financial aspects of contracts.
2. Product Costing & Inventory Management:
- Tender & Project Costing: Support project tender preparations, monitor costs and margins, ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Stock Valuation & Obsolescence Management: Manage inventory valuation, oversee stock aging, and support in financial aspects of purchasing.
3. Treasury:
- Local Treasury Functions: Manage cash operations according to treasury policies, update treasury information, and optimize working capital management.
- Working Capital & Cash Management: Monitor financial assets, improve liquidity management, and oversee cash flow planning and forecasting.
4. Reporting and Controls:
- Management Accounts Reporting: Prepare month-end and year-end reports, collaborate on statutory accounts reporting, and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
- Internal Controls: Enhance controls, address audit findings, and maintain compliance with internal policies.
5. Tax:
- Withholding Tax (WHT): Review contracts for WHT obligations, apply for certificates, and submit WHT forms.
- Indirect Tax: Determine tax liabilities, prepare and submit relevant forms (GST/VAT/SST/Customs).
- Corporate Income Tax: Prepare tax computations, submit tax returns, and manage related party disclosures.
6. Special Projects
- Assist and support in special tasks/projects as assigned.
Required qualificationsEducation : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience : Minimum of seven years in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Analytical Skills : Proficiency in using business intelligence and reporting software for analysis.
Adaptability : Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Communication : Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Project Leadership : Capability to lead projects across different departments.
