Job DescriptionAbout the Role:
The Government Relations Senior Manager will support the Government Relations Director in executing the government relations strategy. This role will involve a combination of policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, advocacy, documentation, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Analysis:Monitor and analyze government policies, regulations, and legislative initiatives that impact the automotive industry.
Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain relationships with key government officials, policymakers, and industry associations.
Advocacy:Support advocacy efforts through research, writing, and presentations.
Issue Management:Assist in identifying and addressing potential regulatory risks and challenges.
Regulatory Compliance:Support the company's compliance with all relevant government regulations and standards.
Project Management:Manage specific government relations projects, such as lobbying campaigns, policy submissions, and event planning.
Data Analysis:Analyze data to identify trends and inform strategic decision-making.
Team Management:Oversee and mentor a team of Government Relations Executives, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating performance.
Administrative Tasks:Manage administrative tasks, including document preparation, filing, and reporting.
Job RequirementsQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in law, political science, public policy, or a related field.
Experience in government relations, public policy, or corporate affairs.
Understanding of the Malaysian automotive industry and government landscape.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Leadership skills to guide and motivate a team.
