Group Internal Audit and Compliance Executive1.
Internal Audit:
Plan and execute internal audits across the group to evaluate risk management, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
Review and assess processes related to inventory management, sales, procurement, and customer transactions for compliance with policies and standards.
Identify gaps or weaknesses in internal controls and recommend corrective measures.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, risks, and actionable recommendations for management.

Compliance Assurance:
Monitor and ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements, particularly Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulations and AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism) policies.
Conduct regular compliance checks to evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies and procedures.
Ensure business processes align with current regulations governing the gold and jewellery industry in Malaysia and international markets.
Collaborate with the legal team to address changes in legislation affecting the business.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks related to regulatory compliance, financial transactions, and operational practices.
Develop risk assessment frameworks and conduct periodic evaluations to identify emerging risks.
Monitor the implementation of risk mitigation strategies and ensure continuous improvement.

Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of audit findings, compliance reports, and risk assessments.
Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities, including Bank Negara Malaysia, as required.
Support the documentation of AML/CFT practices, including KYC (Know Your Customer) processes and transaction monitoring.

Training and Development:
Conduct training sessions for employees and management on regulatory compliance requirements, internal controls, and best practices.
Enhance awareness of legal and regulatory obligations within the gold and jewellery industries.
Stay updated on changes in legal, regulatory, and industry standards affecting gold and jewelry trading.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with compliance objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Compliance Professional (CCP), or related credentials are highly desirable.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in internal audit or compliance roles, preferably within the gold, jewelry, or financial services industries.
Strong knowledge of Bank Negara Malaysia regulations, AML/CFT policies, and legal frameworks relevant to gold and jewelry trading.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
