Candidate must possess Professional Qualifications/Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent.
At least three years of relevant legal work experience, preferably with knowledge and experience in corporate/commercial advisory/private equity investment/cross-border corporate transaction.
Familiar with contract review, legal consultation, and clause modification.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and an excellent command of English and Mandarin.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, able to assess risks and provide solutions from a legal perspective.
Ability to work with internal teams to coordinate resources to resolve legal issues.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and support to the Group on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and other business dealings to ensure the Group's interests are protected.
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate governance documents.
Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Stay up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company.
Liaise with external professional parties such as bankers, auditors, tax agents, underwriters, lawyers, and regulatory bodies.
Coordinate with Malaysian and overseas lawyers in major global financial hubs or economic regions such as Hong Kong, mainland China, Singapore, United States, and United Kingdom.
Assist Group Holdco HQ management in dealing with compliance advisors across different jurisdictions in respect to regulated or licensed businesses under Group Holdco.
Provide legal support to management of portfolio companies on a case-by-case basis.
Handle any other legal matters as assigned by management.
