Are you interested in learning more about Procurement in the world leading industrial coating resins company? We are looking for an Indirect Procurement Lead to join our team. You will beresponsible for managing indirect purchasing activities in Malaysia, with a primary focus onpackaging and logisticscategories. The Indirect Procurement Lead will also oversee both strategic and commercial aspects of procurement, ensuring reliable supply at the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO).

ResponsibilitiesOversee indirect procurement in Malaysia, focusing on packaging, logistics, and indirect goods/services. Source materials such as steel drums, pallets, PE bags, IBCs, and logistics providers.
Provide commercial analysis for regional ocean tenders and support strategic sourcing with the Regional Indirect Manager.
Monitor and report on route trends, freight rates, and market conditions, adjusting strategies as needed.
Manage indirect spend, ensuring reliable supply and optimising total cost of ownership (TCO). Build strong supplier partnerships to meet KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate across departments to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Present findings and align strategies with company goals.
Develop sourcing strategies, ensure compliance with purchasing processes, and drive cost-saving and OWC reduction initiatives.
Deliver consistent reporting on cost and procurement performance to stakeholders.
Required skills and experienceAt least 5 years of proven experience in strategic sourcing and purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing, logistics, or freight forwarding environment.
Strong understanding ofindirect procurement , particularly inpackaging and logisticscategories.
Knowledge of sourcing processes (RFIs, RFQs, bidding).
Strong data analysis skills, with experience in freight rate fluctuations, route development trends, and market research.
Familiarity with ocean shipping market conditions and the ability to adjust strategies based on market competition.
Ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on procurement strategies and market conditions.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent.
