About the Client: A publicly listed company on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad since 1990, we are a leading manufacturer in flexible plastic packaging and a prominent developer of affordable homes in Malaysia.
About the Role: To provide an independent opinion to Audit Committee on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance within the group of companies.
To plan, lead, and supervise audit assignments and team members to ensure completion as per the audit plan.
To review audit working papers and findings prepared by team members to ensure the accuracy of the audit findings.
To identify opportunities for improvement in internal controls, report on weaknesses in internal controls on an exception basis, and propose recommendations to management for further improvement.
Undertake other assignments assigned by the management from time to time.
Requirements: Minimum degree or professional qualification in any discipline.
Minimum 5 years in heading an internal audit department.
Proactive and able to work independently.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good report writing, including presenting to the management and board members.
MUST be willing to travel (When required) and possess their own transport.
