Reports To:Senior Manager, Group Safety Investigation and Training
Position Summary:Accountable for supporting the Senior Manager, Group Safety Investigation and Training in the implementation of SMS across the organization, executing safety and operational risk management functions, and ensuring implementation and maintenance of the Risk Management program through effective incident and accident investigation to ensure safe and secure operation.
Key Accountability:
Implementation of the Risk Management programme including the effective corrective and preventive actions as applicable;
Incident & Accident Investigation as assigned in accordance with ICAO Annex 13 and company procedures;
Responsible for the performance of the Incident & Accident Investigation;
Conduct Safety Investigation of accidents, incidents and irregularities related to operations of flight;
To put in place timely and effective control measures to mitigate risk associated with aircraft operation to an Acceptable Level of Safety Performance (ALoSP);
Complete the closure of safety investigation and effective implementation of corrective action/recommendation related to aircraft/ground operations;
Communicate and coordinate with appropriate operational managers/BU's in addressing the emerging risk related to aircraft operations, accurate review, entering risk rating and assignment of occurrence reports;
To ensure significant issues arising from risk management are subjected to management review;
Monitor safety anchor persons activities to ensure accurate review, entering, risk rating and assignment;
Responsible for the performance of the safety investigation and corrective action/ recommendation closure;
Ensure Safety Risk Assessment Committee (SRAC) members are fully trained on Risk Management including Risk Register updates;
Ensure Safety Investigators are suitably trained and competent to review, risk assessed, investigation criteria and assign BUs investigator for each safety report, this includes monitoring responses and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions as applicable;
Ensure Safety Anchor-persons (SAP) and other departmental personnel are suitably trained to conduct departmental occurrence investigations;
Qualifications & Working Experience:
Pilot, engineer or qualified safety professional with a minimum ten years related experience
At least 10 years.
Area of Experience:
Incident/accident investigator training or qualification;
Human Factors and/or safety management system qualification;
Strong interpersonal, communications, presentation and writing skills;
Possess an analytical frame of mind.#J-18808-Ljbffr
