To proactively lead quality improvements and investigations through a Customer Service mindset, using a data-driven approach and RCA tools, good communications, and collaboration with all stakeholders in reaching timely resolutions, implementations, and conclusions.To provide leadership to QA/QC teams, ensuring best practices and procedures are in place and that laboratory safety and standards are maintained to the highest standards.Main Accountabilities:
To ensure that the QC laboratory operates safely by applying best practices and meeting all the Synthomer SHE and QMS procedures and requirements.To work with the Senior QA/QA Manager to proactively develop and improve QM systems leading to greater consistency and reduced non-conformance within production.To identify, develop, and implement quality improvements based on quality performance data such as SPC and CpK, giving increased consistency and reduced non-conformance as part of the site manufacturing strategy and integrated improvement plan.To proactively lead quality investigations into complaints, non-conformances, and problem batches, carrying out RCA's and implementing corrective and preventative actions in a timely manner by working with all interested stakeholders.To ensure that products are tested in accordance with QMS procedures, equipment is maintained and available according to agreed schedules, and that round-robin testing between laboratories is done as required.To ensure operations have rework dispositions for non-conforming batches available in a timely manner to allow recovery.To lead the site hygiene improvement project, ensuring routine audits are completed, improvements are identified and implemented with instances of infection reduced.To develop training plans for QA/QC staff and ensure their development.To develop the QA/QC budget and ensure we operate within the agreed limits.To conduct periodic audits and process confirmations consistent with Synthomer SHE and QMS system requirements.Requirements:
Degree/Master/PhD in Chemistry or related subject.3-5 years' experience in a quality/technical role in theChemical industryand a minimum of2 years managerial experience.Functional/Technical Process and product knowledge, laboratory safety, and management.Product applications understanding.Desirable Skill / Knowledge:
Emulsion polymerisation.Statistical analysis techniques.Root Cause problem-solving techniques.ISO 9001/14001/50001 Management Systems.Why Synthomer?
