Job Summary:
The Material Coordinator is responsible for one or more of the following activities: material movement, cycle counting, assemblies and MRO, from suppliers and other Masimo facilities; kitting material of Jobs, shipping material to other Masimo facilities and direct shipments to customers, performing proper transactions into Expandable.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor the material flow from raw material, in-process and finished goods, according to company policies and procedures.
Kitting of Jobs for production demand, maintaining traceability and record of lot numbers in raw materials.
Physically prepare material with demand vs supply and keep track of safety stock (buffer) for production capacity requirement.
Work with QA department for the MRB status, close monitoring, and clearance.
Assist with warehouse team on performing cycle counts on an ad-hoc, weekly, and monthly basis.
Update the system on material movement regularly with a high level of data accuracy.
Ensure compliance with FIFO procedures and guidelines described in MASIMO policy.
Reconcile material discrepancies and coordinate paperwork.
Organize and maintain good housekeeping in the warehouse.
Ensure that safety is observed throughout the area.
Perform other activities as required by the company.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
Above 3 years of experience in standard material movement and practices.
General mathematical skills.
Ability to read, understand, and follow Company quality policy.
Experience in control of documents and material traceability.
Experience in following the FIFO system.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Forklift operation experience.
Good communication and computer skills.
Good housekeeping skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Some prior experience in a continuous improvement environment.
Warehouse and inventory control prior experience in a manufacturing facility.
Some basic knowledge of reading English.
Education:
SPM/STPM or Diploma.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
This position primarily works in a warehouse environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to routinely lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to operate warehouse equipment & tools, and may also need to operate a forklift. Limited use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when working in the warehouse or walking in the facilities.
