Job Descriptions To manage the day-to-day operation of the Emergency DepartmentTo maintain good working relationship with interdepartmental personnel, physicians, nurses and all allied health staffTo participate in quality improvement programsTo provide quality healthcare service in relation to communication, examination, diagnosing and managing patientsTo provide backup medical cover in the event of emergency for the hospital while being on dutyTo participate actively in providing CME and CNE talks organized by the hospitalTo assess nature and severity of clinical problems of patientsTo initiate investigations and proper management of clinical problems of the patientsTo review all investigations orderedTo manage patients until the respective specialist arrivesTo resuscitate and to stabilize ill patientsTo assist specialist in providing treatment to the patientsTo refer and to admit patient to the respective specialistTo discharge patient with medications and follow up plans, if necessary, after adequate treatment if patients does not require admissionTo carry out minor procedures i.e. suturing, intravenous cannulation, etcTo counsel the patient and family members on the nature of the medical problems and treatmentTo respond to Code Blue immediately and lead the resuscitator procedures until respective specialist arrivesTo accompany ill patient in the ambulance as per guidelineTo prepare medical reports within 14 days as per guidelineTo carry out any other duties as per requested by superiorsJob Requirements Possess a Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or any equivalent) from a recognized institutionRegistered with Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)Minimum 2 years clinical experience as a practicing doctorDemonstrate strong inter-personal communication skills and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under tight timelines and make appropriate medical decisionWilling to work on shift rotation basis.
