Job Overview:
Under guidance, to prepare and deliver the Outfitting engineering deliverables required for the assigned project effectively and efficiently according to specified technical requirements and timelines. To independently review Fabrication yards and suppliers' drawings and ensure they comply with several project regulations & requirements (Industry Standards, Company's Standards, Classification Society and Regulatory requirements). Key Accountabilities: Understands the fundamentals of FPSO features, general function of each facility / system, specific technical specifications and requirements of assigned project, Industry and Company's Standards, Classification Society and Regulatory requirements. With guidance, prepares Outfitting scope of work which includes Marine & Topsides Steel Outfitting Arrangements, LQ Arrangements, HVAC Specifications, Corrosion Protection, Fire Control Plan and Material Handling Arrangements. With reference from project outfitting standard detail drawings, develops Outfitting arrangements (deck oufitting, tank access, lifesaving equipment, LQ compartment, HVAC, deck crane and flare tower arrangement, material handling arrangement etc.) Develops simple Outfitting equipment technical specifications, calculations, drawings, data sheets, etc. specific to the assigned project and validates them with the Senior / Lead Engineer before incorporating them into the requisition (RFQ) document. Prepares and monitors Outfitting equipment tag numbering list and weight control list. Evaluates technical bids received for simple Outfitting equipment from suppliers and performs Technical Bid Evaluation process to ensure the selected supplier meets the technical and delivery requirements as stipulated in the technical specifications. Provides technical assessment to the Buyer who will follow up in the tender evaluation, price negotiation and award process. Works with Senior / Lead Engineers in reviewing Fabrication yards and suppliers' drawings and documents to ensure the Outfitting items are engineered and designed for construction reliability and practicality. Attends Factory Acceptance Tests for simple Outfitting equipment to ensure the equipment functions as per specifications. Where necessary, liaises with the supplier to rectify outstanding technical issues and ensure the completed equipment comply with the specifications and delivered on time. Works with Senior Engineer / Lead Engineer to provide measures to resolve technical issues related to the deliverables. Liaises with equipment suppliers on technical / engineering aspects. Works with Senior / Lead Engineers in closure of Outfitting related HAZID / HAZOP items of the assigned project. Understand the critical safety review /studies which are conducted during the execution of FPSO engineering phase. Attends engineering meetings and 3D model reviews so as to assist Senior / Lead Engineers to resolve interface / implementation / execution issues. Works with Senior / Lead Engineers in closure of Outfitting related comments from Classification Society of the assigned project. Corresponds and deals with Classification Society Surveyor (if applicable). Works with Senior / Lead Engineers to provide technical support and advice to Construction / Commissioning work on site and off site. Deals with internal stakeholders (Construction, Quality, HSE and Operation) on technical matters (if applicable). Basic Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Marine / Naval Architecture Engineering with relevant working experience as stated: Diploma: 5 years and Bachelor: 2 years Advanced Usage of Microsoft Office: Intermediate Usage of AutoCAD; Adobe PDF; Navisworks Freedom Good communication and time management skills. Keen to learn. Good problem solver. Ability to translate business information to technical requirements. High accountability and adaptability skills. Preferred Qualifications: Due to National Content requirements local Malaysians and Expats with Malaysian Residence Pass Talent will be prioritized. FPSO project experience.
