The Procurement Executive performs various functions to ensure the smooth purchase and acquisition of goods and services needed by a healthcare company.
The tasks assigned include, but are not limited to, sourcing new suppliers, contract negotiations, and streamlining the procurement process to ensure smooth business operations.
Job Responsibilities
Strengthening and implementing the procurement process for the healthcare division.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers, vendors, government authorities, and various departments within the healthcare division.
Creating and updating vendor and supplier databases.
Developing and recommending specific sourcing scenarios based on spend analysis findings, extensive knowledge of relevant supply markets, and consolidated business requirements.
Assessing and measuring potential risks' exposures (supply, financial, image/reputation) and establishing contingency plans to prevent and/or mitigate their impacts according to risk management strategies defined by Procurement functions.
Sourcing and on-boarding potential new suppliers where required, and following correct procedures and documentation when engaging suppliers.
Negotiating and reviewing long-term contracts with suppliers to ensure optimum cost and reliable supply.
Ensuring that all assigned supplier contracts are up to date and that electronic and paper copies are stored appropriately.
Monitoring compliance with the company's procurement principles & practices from internal and external stakeholders within the healthcare division.
Supporting the Procurement Manager in all procurement tasks, including but not limited to determining price forecasts for budget cycles, ensuring deadlines, ensuring quality of goods, and aligning purchasing activities with government standards and regulations.
Performing any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.
Completing any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Company/Management/Board/Reporting Superior.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Business Studies/Administration Management, Commerce, or equivalent.
At least 1 - 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve procurement-related issues.
