Responsibilities: To assist the Procurement Manager in procurement activities throughout the departmentTo be responsible for the sourcing, monitoring and control of the supply chainMonitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliersAble to change and adapt to changes to duties, tasks, assignments, and job scope assigned by Procurement ManagerTo lead major categories of spend and will be responsible for driving and developing significant sustainable annual cost savings programs and implement business strategies that directly affect company cost management strategiesTo coordinate activities related to the organization's vendor management system, to assist scoring on the vendors performancePerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager.Work collaboratively and negotiate and engage with stakeholders and suppliers regarding new projects, supplies and initiatives and advise of impact of change on purchasing activitiesStay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and inventory and advise others of any impactResearch and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possibleDevelop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvementNegotiate contracts, improved prices, and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methodsMust be able to travel within Malaysia and outside Malaysia for business related matters, when requiredTo contribute to cost saving activities and projects and produce the cost savings resultsMust be results oriented, needs to work towards to end goal results, getting things doneMust be able to work as frontline engaging stakeholders in discussion, meetings and problem solving effectivelyMust constantly update status and discuss issues of the tasks assigned to and with Procurement ManagerTo support setting up and operation of P2 for both procurement and store Requirements: At least a diploma in business related fieldBasic PC skills and Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and EnglishProven Procurement experienceConsiderable knowledge of office procedures, methods and IT systemsStrong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skillsHighly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliersAnalytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities Kindly visit our official website for more vacancies: https://islandhospital.com/careers/
