Objectives of the Position
Our ambition is to be anenabling forcebehind successful senior projects at GB.
Witha focus on transparency and accountability , project controlling providescomprehensive insights and analysisthat guide our projects towards excellence.
This position aims at providing the required regional controlling support.
Focus is the whole region Asia-Pacific beyond SSC.
Responsibilities
Tracks key KPIs of projects;
Tracks project budget and resource planning, including providing forecasts and proposing proactive measures to achieve the project budget;
Responsible for project-related charging activities including necessary communication in the region;
Tracks delivery against efficiency targets, monitoring actual project cost and effort development, validating and confirming for accuracy;
Develops and establishes systems and tools for monitoring & reporting purposes;
Acts as gatekeeper for project-related applications and signs off economic evaluations for the corresponding measures (e.g., Com I for digitalization measures, etc.
);
Collaborates with the project team, reviews efficiency measure portfolio (progress tracking, risk reviews, identifies topics/areas with underrepresented savings and triggers respective discussions);
Strong collaboration with global project controlling and with the hub and country finance & controlling, ensuring seamless coordination between all stakeholders;
Reviews impact of demand changes on project baseline (e.g., extended service scope, business growth, M&A activity);
Collaborates with HR workstream on FTE development/bluebook maintenance to ensure alignment with project progress;
Responsible for severance cost and Special Item handling and validates the bookings;
Provides regular regional information (e.g., project reports, cost and FTE development) to the global project manager, project management office, and project controlling;
Ensures maintenance of correct master data (HR and cost) when necessary;
Develops an overview of all projects controlling related processes & tasks, systems & tools to offer simple and easy-to-deal-with knowledge management.
Requirements
Education
University graduate – Accounting / Finance / Business / Economics major.
Additionally, ACCA/CPA or CIA certification or any other equivalent certification.
Working Experience
Minimum 7-10 years' experience in finance and accounting, internal/external audit roles.
Prior experience in performing cost accounting, project management, budgeting, investment evaluation, and cost charging.
Experience in managing and strategizing in mid-term to long-term plans/projects.
Highly preferably 3-5 years' experience in BASF group.
Technical & Professional Knowledge
Strong knowledge and understanding of project accounting and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cost charging and allocation;
Strong analytical skills;
Excellent business communication, strong conflict-solving capability, excellent presentation;
Expert knowledge of BW, Excel, SAP R/3, S4 Hana, PBI;
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to lead and motivate team members.
