Position Overview:We seek an experienced and motivated Project Manager to lead and manage projects that drive our insurtech initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the agile software development process for enterprise clients.
Experience and exposure to the insurance industry are a plus.
As a client-facing project manager, you will be responsible for the planning, executing, and finalising of regional or global small, medium, and large client implementation projects.
Key Responsibilities:Project Planning:Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Execution:Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate and lead project team members to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Backlog Management:Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the development team always has a clear understanding of the most valuable work to be done in Jira.
Agile Process:Act as the Project Owner in agile development teams, participating in sprint planning, review, and retrospectives.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality products within agreed timelines.
Stakeholder Management:Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations.
Risk Management:Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop contingency plans as necessary.
Quality Assurance:Ensure all projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations.
Reporting:Provide regular project updates, status reports, and presentations to senior management and other stakeholders.
Team Leadership:Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project management.
Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
PMP or other relevant project management certification is preferred.
Experience:Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the insurance or insurtech industry.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello, Figma, MS Excel, Google Suite products).
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge:In-depth understanding of the insurance industry, including policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, and regulatory requirements.
