Purchasing Executive

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for purchase of direct material for production build and day-to-day supplier relationship.Responsible for localization of direct materials as and when required.Responsible for periodic negotiation with suppliers for better pricing and total cost of ownership.Responsible for supplier's on-time-delivery (OTD) performance.Responsible for the raw materials inventory and ensure that inventory turns meets company objective.Work with Quality department to perform necessary supplier audit.Work with Quality department for goods returned to vendors due to quality issue.Assist in sourcing and purchasing of indirect materials when needed.Assist in freight forwarding arrangement for incoming & outgoing shipments.Assist in custom clearance for incoming & outgoing shipments, when needed. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma in any discipline from a recognized university.At least 8 years of working experience in Purchasing in the related industry.Familiar with ERP system.Able to work in a fast-paced environment and work on odd hours when necessary.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Able to speak and write in good English.Independent and can work under minimum supervision.
