The Quality Surveyor Executive is responsible for the preparation, review, and management of contracts associated with construction projects. This role involves extensive coordination with project managers, finance teams, legal departments, and external parties to ensure that all contracts are in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract law, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the construction industry.
Responsible for managing cost and contract activities, ensuring development projects (with both internal and external parties) comply with contract terms and conditions, adhere to quality standards, and are completed timely and cost-efficiently.Oversee all aspects of cost estimating, cost planning, cost studies, cost monitoring, and cost controlling.Handle the entire tender process, including calling, evaluating, and comparing tenders, as well as recommending negotiations and awards.Ensure all contractual records are compliant to protect the company's interests at all times.Manage contracts for secured projects effectively and efficiently, ensuring their financial viability.Coordinate the sourcing and procurement of all related items required by the site, and liaise with the site team/trading arm for issuing Purchase Order POs, material deliveries, invoices, and delivery orders.Take a hands-on approach in preparing the bill of quantities (BQ), tender documents, and drafting contract conditions.Review construction costs and budgets by liaising with Quantity Surveyors, assisting project teams, and consultants in cost-value engineering exercises.Review and verify monthly progress claims and payments.Evaluate and verify variation orders/works with appropriate justification and obtain approvals according to the approval hierarchy.Re-measure quantities in original and variation works (including materials on-site) for verification of progress claims and final accounts statement for provisions for closing accounts.Maintain the Quality System within the Department.Keep superiors informed of all contractual and site matters.Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as instructed by superiors.
