**Key role and responsibilities**:- Conduct research on new ingredients, technologies, and product concepts to identify opportunities for new product development.- Develop and improve product formulas, specifications, and manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality assurance, to ensure successful product development.- Manage product testing and sensory evaluation, ensuring products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.- Conduct trials and pilot plant runs to ensure feasibility and scalability of new product formulations and processes.- Prepare reports and presentations on product development progress and results for senior management and external stakeholders.- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in food science and technology and incorporate them into product development strategies.- Carry out R&D projects such as formulation, sample preparation, production trial and sensory evaluation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.- Support superior for any new product innovations and formulation improvements for existing products.- Ensure R&D records, product information and relevant analysis are completed and well documented.- Maintain R&D lab, equipment, and ingredient in safe and hygienic storage.- Maintain and protect the company's trade secrets and departmental confidential documents.**Salary**: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month**Benefits**:- Free parking- Maternity leave- Opportunities for promotion- Parental leave- Professional developmentSchedule:- Day shift- Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types:- Overtime pay- Yearly bonusAbility to commute/relocate:- Batu Pahat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)**Education**:- Bachelor's (preferred)**Experience**:- Research & Development: 1 year (preferred)**Language**:- Bahasa Melayu, English / Mandarin (preferred)
