Qualification Candidate must obtain Safety Health Officer / Site Safety Supervisor Certificate/NIOSH Certificate/SHO Attendance Certificate. Valid competency license from DOSH (JKKP) is mandatory. Minimum 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Job Duties Perform the following task: 1. To conduct safety briefing & Safety Toolbox Meeting for workers at site.
2. To ensure workers' passport, working permit, CIDB or any other necessary documents are always valid to work at site.
3. To attend safety meetings at site and safety committee meetings.
4. To ensure all safety requirements and SOP are comply by everyone at site.
5. To ensure workers are working in safe and healthy condition.
6. To ensure all equipment/machineries are complying to safety requirement, valid PMA and safe to be used.
7. To monitor and control subcontractor and supplier safety and health practices.
8. To initiate and coordinate with site team conducting housekeeping activity to ensure site cleanliness and tidiness.
9. To monitor everyday manpower records by co-ordinated with Site Supervisor/Manager
10. To enforce and monitor documentation and complied as per contract and client requirement.
11. To perform risk management and mitigation to minimize project risks.
12. To prepare Health & Safety Reports, Job Safety Analysis, HIRADC etc
13. To ensure workers are being briefed and working accordingly to the Job Safety Analysis and HIRADC.
14. To notify superior if there is any urgent or emergency at site if necessary.
15. To involve in incident investigation if there is any incident at site.
16. Must be flexible to travel to projects site in Sarawak
Key skills 1. Excellent knowledge of occupational health and safety, construction industry, technology, methodology, management and contract.
2. Good at problem-solving skills and methodical way of thinking
3. Good at listening, following instructions and communication skills.
4. Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
5. Understand Local Authorities Requirements and the implications of Health and Safety Regulations
6. Well organised and able to work independently
7. Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Words and Power Point
