About the Job
Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager and CFO, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of company finance operations, overseeing cash flow, preparing financial reports, conducting analysis, and developing budgets and projections.
Ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.
Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
Monitor invoice backlogs and provide guidance to teams to reduce backlog numbers effectively.
Review reports and vendor reconciliations, addressing overdue open items.
Ensure Accounts Payable KPIs are met, including timely processing and payment of invoices.
Develop actionable plans to support the team in achieving KPIs.
Verify and review supplier payments, staff commission claims, and trade applications.
Establish and implement effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Internal Control Procedures to enhance finance and reporting systems.
Ensure timely submission and compliance with Inland Revenue Board (IRB) tax requirements.
Oversee tax planning and compliance processes.
Review statutory audit reports, inventory management, and Debtors Ageing Reports.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors, tax agents, legal advisors, bankers, and other stakeholders.
Lead, coach, and manage the finance team effectively.
Perform ad hoc assignments and tasks as required by management.
Requirements
Professional Qualifications ie ACCA/CPA/MIA, Degree in Accounting
At least 3-5 years of experience, preferably in retail industry
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good analytical skills and effective problem-solving skills
Ability to motivate and steer towards the organization mission and goals
Able to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment
