Purpose of Job We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Global HR Manager to lead our Human Resources function primarily for our Singapore HQ while overseeing the HR teams in our Malaysia and China factories. Additionally, this role will provide oversight for the Taiwan R&D unit, ensuring HR support in the absence of a local HR team. This role will report to the Executive Committee based at our Singapore HQ and will play a key part in managing HR strategy, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with local and global standards. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in HR management, a strong network in the industry, and the ability to work effectively in a multinational environment.
Job Duties: Global HR Strategy Development:Develop and implement global HR strategies that align with corporate goals while adapting them to local regulations and practices.Collaborate closely with the HR teams in Singapore, Malaysia, and China to ensure alignment with overall corporate HR policies and initiatives.2. Talent Acquisition and Management: Lead global recruitment efforts, utilising a robust professional network to attract top talent for the Malaysia factory and other regions as needed.Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring smooth integration for new hires across the organisation.Design and manage talent development programmes to foster employee skills and career advancement.3. Employee Relations and Engagement: Address employee inquiries, concerns, and conflicts within the Corporate HQ and factories, while supporting global employee relations initiatives.Promote a positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives that resonate with teams in Singapore, Malaysia, and China.4. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with countries' labour laws and global HR regulations.Stay informed about changes in employment legislation and adjust HR practices accordingly.5. Performance Management and Development: Implement and manage performance management systems that promote accountability and foster employee development.Provide guidance to managers on performance-related matters and assist in resolving challenges.6. Compensation and Benefits Management: Oversee competitive compensation and benefits programmes that align with industry standards and global practices.Conduct market analysis to recommend adjustments as necessary.7. Global Networking and Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, recruitment agencies, and industry professionals to enhance recruitment and business development efforts.Represent the company at local events, job fairs, and industry conferences to enhance brand visibility globally.8. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse HR metrics and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management.Utilise data-driven insights to recommend enhancements in HR practices and policies globally. Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of HR management experience, with a focus on global or multi-regional roles preferred.Demonstrated ability to leverage a strong network to enhance recruitment and business relationships.In-depth knowledge of Singapore and Malaysian labour laws and experience with international HR regulations.Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Other Requirements: Proficient in English, Malay, and Chinese languages to effectively communicate with teams and stakeholders in Asia, Europe, and USA. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentations.
