Senior Manager, Legal

Assisting the Head of Department by providing sound legal advice; reviewing and commenting on all legal issues or documents to be executed by FMD, ensuring protection of interest and achieving FMD's objectives and commercial purpose without fear of significant financial loss.
Assuming the role and responsibility as a key custodian for the fire-resistant cabinets where all the original legal documents forwarded by the business units are kept.
Provide legal advice and knowledge to FMD.
Assist the business units in reviewing and/or drafting agreements to enable them to better protect their commercial interests.
Provide legal advice to business units relating to daily business transactions/activities of FMD and ensure that FMD's interests are safeguarded.
Assist the Head of Department in managing and advising on legal issues arising from daily operations of the business and conduct legal research.
Assist the Head of Department in monitoring litigation cases, liaising with external lawyers/Group Legal on legal matters, and monitoring any ongoing litigation matters.
Oversee and ensure the safe-keeping of legal documents in the safe and department shared folder.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or Bachelor of Laws Degree.
A minimum of 7 - 8 years' related experience in financial institutions, asset management, and/or trustee companies.
