Job DescriptionWestern Digital's Sr. TA Manager - Malaysia Country Lead will be a key member of the Global TA Leadership Team and trusted partner to business leaders. You will lead the success of the Malaysia TA Center of Excellence framework and will drive continuous improvement of the function in collaboration with global key stakeholders. You will align talent planning, sourcing, hiring and associated processes and analytics for Malaysia resulting in a robust and positive experience that differentiates Western Digital as an employer of choice for both internal and external talent. This includes creating an innovative, cohesive Malaysia recruitment strategy, capturing talent insights that can drive business decisions, and delivering a phenomenal candidate experience.
· Align and help direct a cohesive team of country recruiters, ensuring that they are meeting their targets and adhering to best practices across the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires.
· Apply subject matter expertise with internal and external workforce trends and market talent intelligence to inform and create agile workforce plans.
· Help to track and analyze recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill and make recommendations for improvements; where challenges may occur, recognize and communicate them in a timely and data-driven fashion.
· Mentor, plan and consult (as a talent acquisition subject matter expert in university recruiting) with Global TA leaders in their go to market recruitment strategies and execution to maintain and elevate Western Digital's strong employer brand in the Malaysia University System.
· Collaborate with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs and help identify the best candidates.
· Regularly engage with global TA leadership and regional counterparts on strategic programs with a focus on attracting, engaging, and hiring a diverse slate of qualified talent
· Ensure compliance with local laws and local governing agencies.
· Collaborate cross-functionally and successfully navigate within a globally matrixed organization to investigate, analyze, and resolve critical and complex concerns.
· Provide a high level of energy, a powerful work ethic, and hands-on approach to execution of duties and roles.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Minimum 15 years' experience in Talent Acquisition with at least 7 years of managerial experience. Experience with matrix organizations, specifically with successfully navigating direct and dotted lines within multifunctional global organizations. Demonstrated experience of working successfully in a highly regulated and compliance led environment. Ability to partner with HR and Business leaders and experience of developing a TA strategy and plan. Strong leadership, exceptional oral and written communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information within HR. In-depth understanding and experience with sourcing, talent processes, talent assessment, and metrics. Proven experience of recruiting senior leadership roles.
