The main function of this role is to coordinate Production builds across UCT weldment factories and subsidiaries globally. Identify the best location to build the product at the least costs and servicing the customer needs timely. Perform functions associated with the generation and maintenance of production plan and master production schedule. Reconcile production/material conflicts. Analyze component availability to maintain production schedule and manage WIP inventory consistent with company goals. Facilitate operations and material status meetings. Evaluate and coordinate engineering change orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Global control tower of Customer Demand/Capacity and driving Global UCT sites to deliver product/ assemblies per Customer NBD. Manage fulfillment against Customer CONSIGNMENT and Discrete Sales orders.
To coordinate with a team UCT sites to meet Customer demand needs.
Pull Customer Forecasts and assign the best location to build the product timely and efficiently. Load Customer forecasts to pre-drive materials to position the site for fulfillment timely.
Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements.
Manage aggressive and tight lead times for product fulfillment to enable capture overall weldment market share and site capacity utilization.
Run Global S&OP meetings with the sites to effectively plan Customer Backorder fulfillment to measure and maximize OTD to Commit > 98% and OTD to NBD > 85%.
Consolidate overall Material needs forecasts across the weldment sites to enable drive bulk buy decisions and feed into Purchasing organization to optimize on purchases.
Manage overall Raw Materials/ WIP/ FG Inventory across sites to maximize ITO across the weldment business.
Well versed in SAP PP/MM/SD modules to aid in the implementation of SAP across the factories.
Be a team player to win stakeholders from Account Ops, Purchasing, Supply Chain, manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Sales to add value across the value chain in a quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment.
Education & Experience Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in engineering / science/ mathematics/ Materials /Industrial Engineering. At least 5 years working experience in a high mix, low volume environment.
5+ years procurement and/or planning experience with working knowledge of quick-turn, low volume, high mix, engineer-to-order production environment. Experienced to handle people across different cultures worldwide.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; engineering BOM reading skills.
Ensures employees have clear goals, expectations and provides ongoing employee performance and development consistent with business objectives.
Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Office software suites, Visio.
Meeting management skills. Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of MRP/ERP (SAP), Advanced Planning tools and applications.
