About the RoleSwift provides a range of on-site business and technical/supporting infrastructure consultancy services across Swift's customer base.
The Project Manager will work in close liaison with all relevant departments within and across regions to manage projects of various complexities.
These consultancy engagements aim at helping our customers to improve their operational efficiency, reduce costs and mitigate operational risk.The Project Manager will report to the APAC Head of Project Management.
This role will have the daily management of projects of various complexities, as well as engagement with the Business Development teams and the Professional Services teams primarily in APAC.
This role will also engage with financial institutions and critical market infrastructures within the financial services community.What to expect:
Your responsibilities will be to:
Manage projects of various complexities and risk (medium to large size), ensuring effectiveness in meeting customer's needs, and deliver the project's expected outcomes.
Assist the internal teams to prepare proposal packages and prototypes, either based on standardized proposals or customized for more complex offerings.
Work with partners and third parties to deliver a project in a prime contractor or subcontractor role (where work is subcontracted to a third party).
Apply project management skills to facilitate projects, ensuring all stakeholders are well informed, tracking and monitoring project status to ensure completion as expected and planned.
Ensure timely delivery of projects in line with agreed functionality, quality, cost, and performance in compliance with company procedures and standards, thereby guaranteeing operational success of the project.
Apply a sound technical background to help deliver complex technical and integration solutions to customers and resolve technical questions as appropriate.
Meet with the customer to identify their needs and requirements and propose architecture/application and services to meet those needs, composed of all the Swift attributes, messaging, standards, interface software and services.
Translate business and technical requirements into a Project Plan.
Monitor, maintain and report to project team, customers, and internal stakeholders on the project status continuously throughout the project duration.
Manage project risks (security, resources, budget, quality) and escalate issues to senior management when appropriate.
Assist with technical responses to customer RFIs and RFPs when appropriate.
Ensure the project stays on track by proactively controlling actual status of cost, schedule, quality, and resources versus plans and by taking corrective action if necessary.
Support teams by defining processes and transferring knowledge as appropriate.
What will make you successful:
Professional background/education: Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, Finance or relevant fields.
Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience with exposure to project management, preferably within an IT consulting/product development environment and/or area of similar complexity, with at least 2 years in banking and payments related software projects.
Language: English preferred with good proficiency in writing, speaking, listening, and reading.
Proficiency with Microsoft project plan or similar planning tools.
Proven ability to contribute in a diverse, multi-cultural, multi-country team environment and the ability to work independently.
Ability to contribute in a team environment and deliver under pressure.
Strong collaboration skills, as the successful candidate may need to work effectively with stakeholders in other countries/regions.
Following additional skills are an asset:Certification on Project Management (Prince2, PMP, etc.)
Knowledge of SWIFTNet, Swift's interface products, and Swift's messaging solutions.
Experience with integration middleware and common messaging technologies.
Knowledge in modern integration techniques and technologies, especially Service Oriented Architectures, application server and Web services.
Any previous technical experience in software development/testing/end-to-end flow at workgroup level.Location:Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Primary Location)
