The primary objective of this role is to support the respective market Financial Controllers to ensure all entities within APAC markets are compliant from a statutory, tax and reporting perspective while managing external audit and tax relationships.
You must sustain a strong relationship with the Senior Leadership Stakeholders, Finance community, and other parts of the Regional and Global business.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver accurate financial reporting while maintaining compliance to accounting policies.
Ensure compliance with all statutory and tax filings and reporting deadlines for all entities and countries within the markets the STAR supports.
Ensure efficient completion of external statutory audits, tax filings, and submission to authorities within deadlines.
Apply and provide recommendations to mitigate risks to support financial targets.
Explain and execute the accounting standards, delegated authority matrix, and Experian policies and assess control risk as necessary.
Identify process standardisation and optimisation of reporting opportunities and deliver ways to simplify the finance processes to create informative, value-adding outputs.
Work seamlessly with colleagues within or across functions and markets, supporting each other to meet business requirements.
Respond to ad-hoc requests in a timely and professional manner.
Continually identify process and reporting improvements that improve the quality of deliverables in the Statutory & Tax Reporting (STAR) function.
QualificationsMinimum of3+ years' relevant experience in audit and controllership- CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW qualification or equivalent is an added advantage.
Experience in financial reporting for a complete entity, accounting standards interpretation, local tax regulations and managing external audit and tax.
