Technician

**What a Technician does at HP**:- Work with Process Engineering to evaluate, select and install equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacturing of products.- Work on the transfer and installation of manufacturing equipment- Interface directly with suppliers for installs, troubleshooting, equipment acceptance and resolving any technical issues that may arise.- Perform system upgrades, re-design hardware and components for productivity, yield, and cost improvement.- Obtain and maintain equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.**Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess**:- Typically, an Associate degree / Diploma or equivalent experience and 4-6 years of experience.- May include highly experienced individuals performing equivalent work who are non-degreed or degreed in an unrelated field.- Working knowledge in the field of electromechanical technology or semiconductor.- Experience in performing machine buyoff, maintenance or handling process machines will be an add-on advantage.- Sustainable impact is HP's commitment to create positive, lasting change for the planet, its people, and our communities.
