A Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within a designated territory. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed targets.
Key Responsibilities included:
Sales Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed territory sales targets.Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the territory.Implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share.Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales efforts with campaigns and promotions. Team Management: Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to meet their individual and team goals.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.Foster a positive team environment that encourages accountability, creativity, and collaboration. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.Act as the primary point of contact for clients within the region, addressing their needs and concerns.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale with key accounts. Market Research & Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.Provide feedback to senior management on market conditions and customer needs.Recommend adjustments to the product mix or sales approach based on insights from the field. Reporting & Administration: Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics.Manage the budget for the sales region, ensuring cost-effective operations.Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.Proven experience in sales, preferably in FMCGStrong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to travel within the territory as needed.Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
