Advanced Test Engineer position within the Zebra Supply Chain Technical Operations organization.
Provide technical level expertise related to manufacturing test at JDMs for NPI activities and sustaining production environments.
This role requires acting as the primary technical advisor to supplier resources to enable local resolution and escalating back to core manufacturing or development groups as appropriate.
Work with JDMs to develop, support test solutions, test software and electrical test interfaces for production testing of a wide range of mobile computers from the Enterprise Mobile Computing Business.
Responsibilities:
Develop & support automated manufacturing test solutions by working closely with other engineers and vendors to come up with the test solutions.
Provide support (On-site and remote) for factory builds during NPI & sustaining phases.
Participate in failure analysis and drive for root cause & corrective actions for problems that may arise during builds.
Review and analyze build data to assist with making critical decisions.
Prepare technical documentation – specifications and test plans.
Perform Measuring System Analysis (Gauge R&R) & Process Capabilities analysis on test systems.
Prepare, support, and help maintain test systems at vendor locations.
Perform regular test audits on supplier test practices employed on products.
Supporting Industry 4.0 Initiatives in Digitization, Lean & Automation.
Lead in Benchmarking test solutions to latest technologies and trends in manufacturing environment with the goal to improve product quality, line efficiencies and throughput within LSS and I4.0 Framework
Oversight of capacity planning and manufacturing delivery execution aligning to forecast changes and business needs.
Qualifications:
• Minimum Education:
o Bachelors Degree in Engineering(Electronics/Computer Sc./Physics) or Major in Physics
• Minimum Work Experience (years):
o 5-8Yrs.
• Key Skills and Competencies:
o Expert in (5+ yrs.) Python scripting, Labview, C++
o Minimum 2 yrs of experience in use of Data analytics tools and development – Power BI/Looker
o Expert in Technical analysis with problem-solving capability associated with the manufacturing or functionality of electronic systems
• Licenses/Certifications, special qualifications:
o S/W development - training certifications
• Equivalencies:
o 5 yrs experience in S/w coding
