The Cash & Trade Proc Intmd Analyst is an intermediate level role responsible for ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time in coordination with the Transaction Services team. Responsible for managing the team and performing day-to-day operational tasks in the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) White Label In-sourcing project specifically in end-to-end trade transactional processing for Trade Advance/Bills Products.
Responsibilities:
Ensure CBA's Trade Advance/Bills Products transactions are processed in accordance with prescribed standards of banking operational procedure.
Deliver services as per agreed service standards and turnaround times to meet customers' expectations.
Participate in UAT/regression testing, understand the flow of the process, build/update standard operating procedures, and identify opportunities for consistent improvement to ensure a LEAN process.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and guidelines governing trade finance and services operations.
Resolve transaction services issues and use technical expertise/judgment to conduct complex analysis.
Have good knowledge of end-to-end process flow and application of finance/exchange rate/accounting entries/funds transfers methodologies of Trade Advance/Bills.
Anticipate and respond to requests for transaction deliverables with various stakeholders such as CBA Operation teams and Citi Technology team to resolve operational and technology-related issues.
Monitor and research errors to ensure adherence to audit and control policies.
Maintain a healthy and highly motivated team. Encourage strong teamwork across all clusters in the team.
Develop and recommend strategic decisions based on in-depth comprehension of how the Trade operations team interacts with other business units in accomplishing objectives.
Assist with providing guidance or on-the-job training to new team members as required.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of work experience in related role international trade operations, fast learner, and ability to adapt to constant change.
Able to work independently and as a dynamic team player in a highly challenging work environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Effective analytical and relationship management skills.
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.

Skills:
Good proficiency in English language (written and oral).
Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong knowledge in technical skills in trade, well versed in UCP600, ISBP and Financing guidelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge in Citi's internal processing systems mainly TRIMS and CBA downstream systems and back-end accounting entries.
Strong presentation skills as incumbent is expected to have very frequent interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Able to multitask as incumbent would be challenged with various stretch assignments given by manager.
