Role Description
The Business Development Manager identifies and assesses new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with client and contract requirements.
They collaborate with Airswift departments to implement strategies and manage local registrations, company setups, and in-country operations.
The role involves working closely with Account and Recruitment Managers to allocate resources effectively and overseeing the handover of new opportunities.
The manager liaises with satellite offices, manages tender submissions, and keeps senior management updated on progress toward targets.
This position requires both office-based and travel-based business development, including international travel, while adhering to Airswift's quality processes.
Principle Accountabilities:
Identify new business opportunities and evaluate their viability and potential.
Implement business strategies in conjunction with other Airswift departments, to ensure compliance in line with service/contract/client expectations about new business opportunities.
Work closely with the Account Managers and Recruitment Manager to ensure that resources are available and allocated correctly across the Recruitment team.
Ensure involvement in all new development opportunities regardless of origin; subsequently hand over day-to-day responsibilities at the appropriate time.
Liaise with satellite offices and support operations from a business development perspective.
Keep senior management suitably informed on the progress towards agreed targets.
Business Development will be both face to face and in the office by telephone.
Travel is a major factor and will involve overseas travel.
Work within the Airswift quality processes and procedures.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
Chemical, Infrastructure or Renewables experience.
Advanced presentation and reporting skills.
Experience of working within recruitment.
A working knowledge of overseas business.
Ability to negotiate and build good customer relationships.
A demonstrated ability to develop new and existing businesses.
A confident negotiator, capable of presenting in a variety of mediums.
Hands on problem-solving skills with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
A positive approach to researching and analysing new business opportunities.
Demonstrable ability to pull together tenders and proposals for new business to a high professional standard.
Comfortable working with financial information.
PC Literate.
