Position Overview: The Purchaser is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and equipment, and services essential to our operations. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that all purchases meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities: Supplier Management:Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent and timely delivery of materials and services.Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.Purchasing Process:Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure continuous supply of materials without overstocking.Coordinate with the engineering and production teams to understand material requirements and specifications.Cost Management:Analyze market trends and pricing conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities.Conduct regular cost analyses and report findings to the Superior.Implement strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality.Quality Control:Ensure that all purchased materials and services meet the company's quality standards.Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any issues related to the quality of procured goods.Documentation and Compliance:Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and inventory.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.Prepare reports on purchasing activities, including cost analyses, supplier performance, and inventory status.Qualifications: Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the engineering or manufacturing industry. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.Skills:Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Knowledge:Understanding of supply chain management principles and purchasing best practices.Familiarity with engineering materials and equipment is a plus. 1) Career advancement (opportunities to move forward with company growth)
