Position Title: Head Barista cum cashier Location: Kolombong, Sabah
Salary Range: RM 1,800 - RM 2,000 (depending on experience and skills)
Working Hours: Full-time, Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Job Description: Head Barista We are looking for an experienced, responsible, and customer-focused Head Barista cum cashier, aged 23 to 40, to lead our coffee team and handle administrative tasks. This role requires at least 3 years of barista experience, strong team leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities. Candidates fluent in Chinese (preferred) and English (preferred) will be given priority. The Head Barista will be fully responsible for overseeing the coffee preparation process, ensuring a high-quality experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc., following standard operating procedures.Lead and train the barista team, enhancing members' skills, including latte art and coffee presentation.Recommend drinks to customers and explain the characteristics of different coffee options, ensuring a delightful customer experience.Handle cash and electronic payments, ensuring transactions are accurate and efficient.Oversee cleanliness, perform routine maintenance of coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment, ensuring all equipment is in top working order.Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hygiene standards, and keeping the barista area ready for service at all times.Manage inventory to ensure sufficient stock of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, coordinating restocking as needed.Lead the team during peak hours, maintaining a friendly and efficient service environment.Administrative Tasks: Handle daily operational paperwork, including inventory reports, order records, and employee schedules.Maintain and submit work records, sales reports, and other necessary documents to support management decisions.Assist in developing and implementing procedures to optimize coffee preparation and service flow.Requirements: Age 23 to 40, with at least three years of barista experience and proven team management skills.Proficient in operating espresso machines and coffee equipment, with latte art skills.Excellent customer service skills, able to create a welcoming atmosphere.Basic administrative skills, familiar with inventory management and sales record-keeping.Fluent in Chinese (preferred) and English (preferred), with strong communication and teamwork abilities.Willingness to work early shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.Ability to handle high-pressure situations with a positive attitude and lead by example.Basic hygiene knowledge to ensure a clean and safe work environment.The Head Barista will oversee all coffee preparation and service processes, handle paperwork, support team operations, and enhance the overall customer experience.
