We are seeking a Senior Business Development Executive responsible for driving the growth of the company by identifying and developing new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and expanding the company's market presence.
This role involves strategic planning, high-level negotiations, and collaboration across departments to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Planning and Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching market trends, industry developments, and customer needs.
Organize, plan, and coordinate sales activities including cold calling to arrange meetings, following up on sales leads, conducting presentations, generating proposals, tender submissions, and managing contracts through deal closing.
Lead the negotiation process for contracts and agreements, ensuring favourable terms for both the client and the company.
Work closely with research and sales support teams, providing regular updates on the status of business development initiatives and finalising scope of works and fees for the proposals.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute business development strategies that align with the company's goals.
Build and Strengthen Customer Channels
Identify and develop new potential groups of clients via all available marketing tools or strategies.
Lead the cultivation and maintenance of strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and loyalty through effective communication and tailored solutions.
Build rapport and confidence with clients through industry talks, events, and programmes.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings, building a strong network of potential clients and partners.
Assist with client requests or issue escalations as needed.
Marketing and Reporting
Develop and implement corporate communication strategies to enhance the company's brand image and reputation.
Identify new markets and gather market intelligence on competitiveness of our pricing.
Provide detailed reports on sales activities, including the number of new leads generated, meetings scheduled, opportunities created, and deals closed.
Regularly report on the status of ongoing negotiations, forecasting expected deal closures, and highlighting any risks that could impact sales targets or timelines.
Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations on specific business development topics, such as potential new markets, partnership opportunities, or large-scale deals as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of achieving revenue goals.
Prior knowledge of sales strategies, market research, and lead generation techniques is an advantage.
Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven individual focused on sales targets and business growth objectives.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, and a team player who can liaise with all stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft applications.
